To help silence a criminal suspect who was turning whistleblower in a $1.1M fraud case is diabolical. To be named a potential suspect in an international yahoo yahoo enterprise by a  US grand jury indictment of a confessing criminal suspect is dire. 

But Huspuppi is a fraudster, so his allegations against one of our best police officers must be treated with suspicion.Abba has dismissed the allegations. If it's true that Hushpuppi transferred N300,000 only 

Then its unlikely that money was meant to silence anyone ,

Anyone familiar with the police HQ would know that such a figure was probably a 'mobilization' for an arrest.

And such an arrest will happen when any bigman clean or unclean takes a complaint of threat to life to the police.

But Abba  Kyari has said the money which was paid to a tailor's account was for a dress Hushpuppi ordered.

He said; Hush Puppi reported threats by One Mr Vincent. Vincent was arrested. Investigations revealed that Vincent and Hushpuppi  were business partners and there were no credible threats. So Vincent was released.

The US grand jury indictment says that Abba sent Hushpuppi a picture of Vincent in detention. That was supposed to mean evidence of job done.We must await further investigations because if that was job done, N300,000 can't be the fee.

The said VINCENT is alive. I don't know what his words would be worth. But Abba wants him called up to testify.

It's a little messy. Our best cop can't be  a friend of a character like hushpuppi without attracting to himself bad odour. By the nature of American plea deals Hushpuppi would be expected to sell out a few persons to get a better deal. So he has thrown Abba into the mix

Abbas' response hasn't been professional. Rather than a terse statement denying the accusation and welcoming thorough investigations he has borrowed from the playbook of politicians. He has been talking about haters. He has an abundance of haters even in the police force. That's what success and celebrity status breeds, but Abba must cease talking like a rockstar.

I love Abba Kyari because on the job he has shown dedication and imagination and displayed splendid results. But how he went from handling a false complaint to arranging dresses for an international fraudster that sent him on a wild lead has raised eyebrows. 

One would like to know what story  Vincent told Abba when he was arrested. My gut feeling is that if Abba didn't know whom Hushpuppi was then after Vincent he should have known. 

But I don't want us to judge Abba harshly. It's one thing to lack a bit of discretion on whom you associate with. It's  a totally different thing to aid a criminal syndicate silence a  potential whistleblower. 

Let's not confuse the two.

Let's allow the investigation tell the whole truth.

Igbos deserve better than Nnamdi Kanu's current IPOB.

Everything about IPOB is disorganised. From its information dissemination to hierarchy to its legal team. 

Honestly, no Igbo person should be proud of having the current IPOB set up as representing or claiming to represent Igbo people. It is very shameful. 

Even their lawyer said he will drag Kenya to the International Criminal Court (ICC) for the kidnap and torture of Kanu. It is so embarrassing that the so called IPOB lawyer is all noise and no substance does not know the jurisdiction of the ICC. 

The latest one I am seeing is IPOB members' threats to deal with Kenyan assets and Kenyans in Nigeria.  It's funny these IPOB members do not know there are more Igbos in Kenya than you have Kenyans in Nigeria. 

I was even thinking that IPOB would resort to a global media campaign to hurt Kenyans tourism industry by highlighting that Kenya illegally kidnapped and smuggled a "freedom fighter" to a government that wanted to eliminate him. So they campaign to tourists to shun Kenya. Instead, they are threatening Kenya and Kenyan assets in Nigeria  online. 

Igbos deserve better than Nnamdi Kanu's current IPOB.

In many homes, especially in the rural areas where kerosene and gas are not common, the tripod stand is used for cooking. This ensures that the pot is securely held and well placed. Any attempt to remove one or two of the legs makes the pot lose stability and crash. Having been disequilibrated, the content of the pot will be in serious disarray as it must spill and can never be the same again.

It is against this backdrop that I want to look at Nigeria. Historically, Nigeria is reputed to be a tripod nation, that is, a nation standing on three legs namely the Hausa/Fulani, Igbo (Ibo) and Yoruba. 

This has been the basis of her stability as a nation. It is because the state operators are surreptitiously removing one or two legs of the tripod that the Nigerian state has been placed in a state of gbata gbata. Arms twisting such as harassments, killings, arrests, frame-ups, distortion of facts, propaganda and the like, cannot solve this problem. 

The only solution lies in restoring the functionality of the tripod and doing the right thing. No part of the country should be seen as an enemy territory or denied their rights if there is going to be peace in the country.

The idea of propaganda may be to scare your enemy meanwhile the wicked irony is that the same propaganda can be evil because it forces your enemies into preparation and readiness, while giving the propagandist a false sense of readiness because the propagandists assume that their enemies, who are "running around",  are confused. They fail to realise that "running around" may also mean "getting prepared."

But the truth is that, whatever perception propagandist produce, it always leads to an emotional response rather than a rational response to the information that is being presented. And that can be very dangerous.

Professor Ugwulebo criticize the Nigerian government that assert that the IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu jump bail rather he saw the act of  Nnamdi Kanu flee to UK as safety measures against the attacks from Nigerian Security forces.

IPOB leader is correctly undergoing trial for jumping bail and other related crimes against the state which treason is part of it. 

The Imo state university lecturer said 

"Nnamdi Kalu did not jump bail, rather it is the Nigerian security forces that jumped bail. Why was his house invaded with shootings everywhere then? What was in their mind? To kill him or what. 

"What were they looking for in the house of someone who had just been granted bail? Who authorised that misadventure? Who will see death coming and still remain in the same place? These and more are some of the issues that must resolved to enable us know who actually jumped bail. Self preservation is the first law of nature

IMSU increases School fees

Following the appointment of a new Vice Chancellor  prof. Peter  Achunike Akah at imo state university, which led to increase in student's school fees for indigenes 

Formally indigenes  of Imo state university were formally paying 30,500 up until now.

43 oil well discovered in Imo State

Imo State government has reviewed the discovery of Oil well in Ohaji egbema local government and Oguta local government area of Imo state, Jonathan opiah confirmed this by stating that 21 were discovered in Oguta local government while 22 were discovered in ohaji egbema

Thinking beyond Illegality ---- regarding illegal refineries

Why is the Federal Government busy destroying illegal refineries when the Federal Government knows it cannot refine anything.

 The federal government has no known functional refinery and spends billions of naira on petroleum importation subsidy. Why can't the federal government encourage these illegal refineries by legalising their activities and ensuring that standard is maintained in their processes. This will, in addition to saving billions of naira corruptly spent regularly on fuel subsidy, create employment for the teeming unemployed youths. When this is done and the youths are engaged, there will be reduction in the crime level as well as insecurity in the land. We should encourage internal progress and development.

Let's think beyond illegality and legality and focus on using what we have to attain greatness

As a student at my final stage I consider laptop to be very important because of the following reasons,

reading and writing with laptop is less strenuous, letters are boad you dnot have to stress your sight

Most times assignments  given to us are mostly term paper, required typing and should be sent to the lecturer through emails, laptop gives that flexibility and freedom to do that  assignments at your convenience ,without bothering which business  center to get it done. Laptops have become more  important part of our lives and even though they’re now facing tough competition in the portability area from smartphones, there are still many things that laptops can offer, but phones can’t. So we still need them around! 

2.Business activities

 Laptop serve at the office , to track business ordeals ,even host a seminar and do group calls on laptop, 

It serves perfectly well in the entertainment industry,  there is no DJ that doesn't work without laptop , laptop gives access to YouTube to stream live and Netflix to watch your favorite movies

Laptops make it a lot easier for us to communicate. 10 Girls Used As Sacrifice By ESN

`paramilitary member of Imo Eastern Network confess how they used 10 girls to power theirselves.

``He added, “Ikonso, one Engineer Mike and Temple organised the attack on the Owerri Prison and Imo State Police Command headquarters. We stole 50 police rifles. We were over 100 fighters who went for the operation but on our way back, some soldiers attacked us and many of our fighters were killed.

“We carried out a few other attacks on security formations in Imo and Anambra states before Ikonso was killed in his residence. After his death, we burnt the governor’s house and killed a security man.”  

The suspect said they had killed 30 persons so far in vengeance of Ikonso’s killing and attacked Orlu Police Division to free their members detained at the station.

He said, “We went in 10 vehicles. We tied white and red clothes on our bodies for protection against bullets. We prepared the charms with the heads of 10 young girls.

“Temple and Mike came up with the suggestion to use the girls for the charms and we abducted them in Imo State. Unfortunately, before we got to the Orlu Police Station, a police armoured vehicle attacked us and killed 12 of our fighters and injured four others.”
