Sokoto state police rescue young starved girl in sokoto
The 12 year old joy Emmanuel caged by guardian Esther and Bassey a resident in sokoto cinema of sokoto north local government area, for over eight months was rescued by police.
Report says she was locked up due to her mental health condition which is unstable
The report says that ASP Sanusi Abubakar the police spokes person has told the newsmen that the prime suspect has been arrested and detained at dadin kowa police station.
"They kept the girl in cage at their compound and starved her of food for eight months, when our men broke the door the girl was too frail to work because she was too emaciated
We met her in a very horrible situation urinating and excreting inside the cage
The girl was taking to specialist hospital for treatment" he reported
